It’s an October full of literary events! Hope to see you at some of these!

Saturday, October 5 at Orange County Public Library 1-5:30, UCF MFA alum Alli Martin is running a Writer’s Conference with alums Jenny Broom, and Catherine Carson as instructors and panelists.

Sunday, October 6 at Stardust in Winter Park from 5-6PM, UCF MFA alum Lana Ghannam will be reading from her new poetry book Two Tongues. The reading is from 5-6 with book signing afterwards. Alum Dianne Turgeon Richardson and Professor Terry Thaxton will also be reading, briefly to help celebrate Lana!

Sunday, October 6 (yep, same day!) at Orlando Brewing from 7-9, UCF MFA Program’s Reading Series PARCELS will feature Adam Byko, Kyle Kubik, and Carissa Richetti, and faculty member Terry Thaxton

Monday, October 7 on campus, HPA 1 116, 4:00-5:00, Writers in the Sun presents Jake Wolf reading from his new novel The History of Living Forever.

Thursday, October 10, UCF Writing Center Open Mic Night, TCH 109, 6:30-8:30, featuring UCF MFA student Dez DeShaiesas Keynote Reader

Monday, October 21, 7 p.m. Launch Party at Orlando’s Park Avenue CDs to celebrate the release of my new book Other Possible Lives

Tuesday, October 22 US Poet Laureate Joy Harjo reading at Stetson University, Carlton Union Building, 131, E. Minnesota Avenue, Deland, FL; October 22 at 7:00 pm presented by Atlantic Center for the Arts.

November 3, 7 p.m. Parcels: Reading Series featuring UCF MFA  students and faculty member Chrissy Kolaya. Orlando Brewing.

November 18, 4-5 p.m. Writers In the Sun reading, Chrissy Kolaya. UCF Campus: HPA 1 (Health and Public Affairs Building 1), Room 116.
