Excited to share a new project I’ve been working on with my friend and collaborator Rachel Simmons. The Society for Speculation was founded in 2023 by artist Rachel Simmons and writer Chrissy Kolaya to explore serious and absurd ideas about fortune-telling, magic, forecasting, and other forms of prediction and divination.

Our current project, The Prediction Press & Divination Tool Kit, brings these ideas to life through interactive community workshops. Combining relief printmaking with reflective writing, participants create their own tools of prediction and divination for self-reflection, while exploring together the universal urge to know what’s coming next in our lives. The project will culminate in both a book published by Burrow Press in 2027 as well as a series of limited-edition artist’s books.
